A Gender Action Plan (GAP) was adopted at the University of Herzegovina


Based on the Memorandum of Cooperation within the University gender mainstreaming project (UNIGEM), which was signed on October 6, 2021. by the University of Herzegovina and the Transcultural Psychosocial Educational Foundation (TPO) at the session of the Senate of the University of Herzegovina held on 22.12.2021. a Gender Action Plan (GAP) was adopted.

A Gender Action Plan (GAP) at the University of Herzegovina has been developed in accordance with strategic national and international documents in the field of gender equality. The Gender Action Plan contains exact measures that will contribute to the affirmation of gender equality in order to prevent and combat gender-based violence, discrimination and sexual harassment as well as to ensure integrity and quality in higher education.

By joining the University and Gender Mainstreaming project (UNIGEM), the University of Herzegovina has expressed its determination to implement activities in order to create an environment of gender equality and in order to ensure all conditions for a culture of equality in professional development and within the working environment of all students and employees. This procedure has hereby been formally initiated at an institutional level.

Strategic areas of the Gender Action Plan at the University of Herzegovina include the Institutional culture of gender equality,  Gender equality in scientific and artistic research, Gender equality in learning and teaching and the Harmonization of personal life and business commitments.
