TWO DAY ORIENTATION WORKSHOP HELD AND CERTIFICATES AWARDED TO 15 TRAINERS FOR THE "PROMOTING DIALOGUE AGAINST VIOLENCE" TRAINING

A two day orientation workshop for 20 trainers from 14 NGOs was held with an aim to prepare activities for the forthcoming public campaign "16 Day of Activism against Gender Based Violence" that will take place in November 2010.
During this campaign, the following NGOs "Forma F", SPKD "Prosvjeta", Center for education and research (CEI) Nahla, "Sumejja", Islamic Relief, "Kolo srpskih sestara", "Krajiska Suza", Fondacija CURE, TPO Fondacija, Medica Zenica, "Lara" Bijeljina, "Perpetuum Mobile", "Vive Žene" Tuzla and International Multi-religious Intercultural Center (IMIC) will organize the workshops for women from rural areas on prevention of violence focusing on gender based violence from religious perspectives.
Sabiha Husic, the Director of Medica Zenica, talked

about the importance of the campaign and the following 16 workshops for women from 48 villages in BiH. Amra Pandzo, the Director of Association for dialogue in family and society "Small Steps" talked about creation of friendly environment and Marija Grujic worked with participants on preparation of promotional material. The two days orientation workshop was moderated by Zilka Spahić Siljak, the Project Manager of TPO Foundation.
Also, the 2nd generation of 15 trainers from 10 NGOs received certificates for the successful completion of the training "Promoting Dialogue against Violence: Gender Based Violence and Multi-religious Dialogue". The training was provided by TPO Foundation in cooperation with Medica Zenica.
