TWO DAY TRAINING IN MONITORING AND EVALUATION HELD

TPO Foundation organized in Sarajevo the two day training in monitoring and evaluation for 14 representatives of 6 partner NGOs in project "Social Inclusion of Women Returnees". For purposes of this training and for development of the manual, TPO Foundation hired Zoltan Milić, M&E expert. TPO Foundation prepared the training and manual in monitoring and evaluation of projects with an aim of strengthening capacities of local NGOs in Sanski Most, Grahovo, Bratunac and Zenica who work with project target group – women returnees. This manual indicates on importance of monitoring and evaluation regarding project cycle management as

well as monitoring of success of project results. In addition, it explains the methods that are used in collecting and analyzing statistical data.
The participants of the training said it helped them in writing project proposals and improved their knowledge, but it is necessary to continue with education in analysis of statistical data. They found the work of the trainer as dynamic and informative, the topic well-presented with examples of good

practices in both local and international perspectives. One participant said that this training will help her to make proper selection of external evaluator for her organisation. Majority of women found the training and the manual as necessary and well-structured and they welcomed TPO Foundation's efforts to recognize importance of this education.
