BEGINNING OF PROJECT'S ACTIVITIES ON THE "EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES" PROJECT ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG POLITICIANS

Krajiška suza
Within the educational part of the Project's activities and advocacy, one-day educational workshop for young politicians took place on 18.07 at the Krajiška suza AssociationSanski Most. The aim of the workshop was to introduce participants with the gender-sensitive approach to politics, and after the workshop three most successful candidates will be chosen to attend the Political Academy and participate in drafting a gender action plan (GAP) in collaboration with the local partners.
Workshop leaders were Mevluda Kazić and Almira Selimovic. Young politicians from Sanski Most, the representatives of different political parties, showed that they have the same goal want to work on

changes for better tomorrow, not only in the city but the whole country. They emphasized that this kind of workshops are indeed necessary for the political body of BiH and also for the female voting body given the lack of gender equality, which again is a result of traditional values in the country. Through exercises and dialogue, the workshop enabled young politicians to understand the necessity of incorporating the gender dimension in their political work. The leaders also introduced participants to the legal frame of gender equality stressing particularly the CEDAW Convention. 
Association Krajiška suza will also hold workshops for women (3) in five rural areas during the period between August and September.

Forma F Mostar
Within the educational part of the Project's activities and advocacy, one-day educational workshop for young politicians took place on 18.07 at the Bristol Hotel in organization of Forma F Mostar. The aim of the workshop was to introduce participants with the gender-sensitive approach to politics, and after the workshop three most successful candidates will be chosen to attend the Political Academy and participate in drafting a gender action plan (GAP) in collaboration with the local partners.
Workshop leaders were Ana Vukovic and Mirjana Penava. Fourteen participants took place at the workshop; they were from 5 political parties (7 female participants and 7 male). Participants

showed eagerness to get to know each other and they welcomed the idea of discussing existence or rather lack of gender-sensitive politics within their parties. For some participants, the workshop was the first chance to get introduced to the legal framework of gender equality in BiH (Law on Gender EqualityBiH, CEDAW, GAP.)as well as its implementation. The participants stressed that they got what they expected from the workshop, particularly in the domain of gender politics, and they said that they would give their best in further promoting and utilizing gender-sensitive politics.
Association Forma Fwill also hold workshops for women (3) in five rural areas during the period between August and September.

Glas žene Bihać
Within the educational part of the Project's activities and advocacy, one-day educational workshop for young politicians took place on 07.07 at the Paviljon Hotel, Bihać in organization of Glas žene organization. The aim of the workshop was to introduce participants with the gender-sensitive approach to politics, and after the workshop three most successful candidates will be chosen to attend the Political Academy and participate in drafting a

gender action plan (GAP) in collaboration with the local partners.
Workshop leaders were Neira Raković Čelebićand Enisa Raković.The workshop had fifteen participants from five BiH political parties. Topics discussed at the workshop were: gender equality, the role of men and women in politics, and the leaders also introduced the BiH legal framework on gender equality as well as the CEDAW Convention.
