WORKSHOPS FOR YOUNG POLITICIANS IN "EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES" PROJECT

Medica Zenica
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy,  Medica Zenica organized and held 18 educational workshops for women’s empowerment in 6 rural areas by the end of August 2012.  The workshops' aim was/is to empower women in the rural areas for their active

participation in the coming elections in October 2012. Subjects that were discussed at the workshops were: participants’ expectations from the workshops, basic communication skills and ways of communicating with the politicians, past and present experiences of the elections, women's human rights. 

Association of women citizens Bosansko Grahovo
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy, Association of women citizens Bosansko Grahovo organized and held 13 educational workshops for women’s empowerment by the end of August 2012.  Next two workshops are planned for 26th of September in Livno, and for 29th of September in Bosansko Grahovo. The average of 21 participants attended each

workshop. The workshops' aim was/is to empower women in the rural areas for their active participation in the coming elections in October 2012. Subjects that were discussed at the workshops were: participants’ expectations from the workshops, basic communication skills and ways of communicating with the politicians, past and present experiences of the elections, women's human rights.

Glas žene
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy, Organization Glas žene organized and held 13 educational workshops for women’s empowerment in 4 rural areas (Municipality Bihac) by the end of August 2012. The workshops' aim was/is to empower women in the rural areas for

their active participation in the coming elections in October 2012. Subjects that were discussed at the workshops were: participants’ expectations from the workshops, basic communication skills and ways of communicating with the politicians, past and present experiences of the elections, women's human rights.

Forum Žena Bratunac
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy, Organization Forum Žena Bratunac organized and held 8 educational workshops for women’s empowerment in 4 rural areas of the Bratunac municipality (3 workshops in Konjević Polje, 3 workshops in Skelani, 1 workshop in Glogovo and 1 workshop in Potočari). The total of 82 women participated at the workshops. The

workshops' aim was/is to empower women in the rural areas for their active participation in the coming elections in October 2012.
Subjects that were discussed at the workshops were: participants’ expectations from the workshops, basic communication skills and ways of communicating with the politicians, past and present experiences of the elections, women's human rights.

United Women Banja Luka
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy, Organization United Women Banja Luka organized and held10 educational workshops for women’s empowerment in 4 rural areas of the Banja Luka, Gradiška and Prijedor municipalities. The average of 20 participants

attended each workshop, while the subjects that were discussed at the workshops were: participants’ expectations from the workshops, basic communication skills and ways of communicating with the politicians, past and present experiences of the elections, women's human rights.

Association Lara Bijeljina
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy, Association Lara Bijeljina organized and held 12 educational workshops for women’s empowerment in 4 rural areas (Janja, Amajlije, Velika Obarska i Nova Janja). The total of 65 women participated at the workshops, while subjects

discussed were: sex and gender, women’s human rights, women’s side of politics, and the importance of local elections.  
Next cycle of three workshops are planned for September 17, 18 and 19 in Koraj, Lopare municipality.

Association Vive žene Tuzla
Within the educational part of the Project’s activities and advocacy, Association Vive žene Tuzla organized and held 8 educational workshops for women’s empowerment in 3 rural areas (Kravnice, Burnice, Suha). The total of 40 women participated at the workshops, while subjects discussed were:

sex and gender, women’s human rights, past and present experiences of the elections, expectations from the elections, basic communication skills and ways of communicating with the politicians, etc. 
In September 2012, the Association is continuing with workshops in Brčko and Konjević polje.
