TWO-DAY TRAINING IN LIVNO

For the realization of training, the following work methods were used: PP presentation-lectures, demonstration, individual and group exercises, role games and these are all contained in the Reference manual: Leadership, straightening of leadership skills for work in the local communities, which participants received at the end of training as a gift. The following themes were elaborated at the training:
Introduction to the Gender Inclusive communities in BiH Project with the short overview of the completed survey from four (4) municipalities in the region of Canton 10. Introduced were also the Reference Manual and the training goals. Possibilities for action and influence in the local community, and Leadership and gender equality with the emphasis on development and the power of influence of emotional intelligence as one of the main foundations of leadership. The participants received information on how to become a leader, what skills are necessary to develop in order to become one, and many other practical advices in regards to that. Important part of the training was also gender budgeting, because this topic was rather unknown to the participants. As an example for gender budgeting, we used the budget of Livno municipality, and the participants had a chance to follow the budget lines and apply the gender budgeting skills.

The second day of the training the following themes were elaborated: Communication skills, development of the communication plan, techniques of domination, and in the second part of the day, we discussed the project ideas of participants, ideas that they would use if they were leaders in their local communities.
- Participants came to conclusion that they would like to continue working together as a group on projects' ideas, that is, to develop two project proposals and implement them in the local communities.
- Determined the final deadline to submit the proposals: 09. 12. 2012. The group showed to have the potential, they are well informed, they are competent in discussions, and they were creative during the training. The conclusion is that this group has to be further nourished, invest in it as it has the leadership touch. The group consisted of the following members of NGOs and political parties:
