Within the project Equal Opportunities for men and women in politics Women Association "Lara" Bijeljina)organized five public debates between women voters and politicians in rural areas. Debates were attended by the large number of women voters and Assembly committee members of the Municipality of Bijeljina as well. Some of the major local community problems were discussed at the meetings. 
The first meeting was held on May 12, 2013 in Nova Janja, and it was attended by 19 women voters, the Assembly committee member of the Municipality of Bijeljina Slavko Novaković, and the Deputy Mayor

of Bijeljina Huso Zečkanović. The meeting in Stara Janja, which took place on May 13, 2013, was attended by 18 women voters, the Assembly committee member Samir Baćevac and Deputy Mayor as well.
Another public debate was hold on July 5, 2013 in Velika Obarska for the woman voters from  this village and the president of the local community Nikola Mijajlović. In addition, public debates were also organized in Amajlije on July 12 and in Koraj on September 27, 2013. Both of these meetings were attended by 20 women and representatives of the Municipality of Bijeljina.
