II Interdisciplinary Classroom „Trauma, Memory, Healing“ was held in August 23rd, 2014 in Jajce (B&H) within the Program for Interdisciplinary Learning and Research (PILAR).
On the second Interdisciplinary classroom, eminent scientists and activists from B&H, including academician Mr. Dubravko  Lovrenovic,  assistant professor Mrs. Zlatiborka Popov Momcinovic, Dr. Amra Delic, assistant professor Mrs. Alisa Mahmutovic, and the Bosnian and Australian academic sculptor Mr. Addis Fejzic, spoken on memory and culture of remembrance.
The attendees at these clasroom were representatives Association "Our Voice" from Tuzla, Students from Education Faculty Travnik, Medicine University Tuzla, Faculty of Philosophy (Wien), Boston Architectural College (UMAAS Boston) and representatives of NGOs  from Travnik, Jajce High School, Studio cultural activism and representatives of the Agency for cultural, historical and natural heritage and the development of tourist potential of the city of Jajce.
Introduction was given by Dr. Amra Delic who presented the work and main objectives of PILAR  related to facing the past and mass trauma that makes Bosnian-Herzegovinian society imprisoned and powerless in making itself free from tradition and a pressure of the past colored by war. Another themeof particular interest that Dr. Delic emphasized was that of destructive power of „chosen trauma“ that are being transmitted transgenerationally throughout southslavic

countries, especially reflected on Bosnian-Herzegovinian society.
Academician Mr. Lovrenovic  focused on a number of cultural-historical potentials that might be used in the process of reconciliation in Jajce, but they are not due to our connecting to traumatic sites in the past instead of questioning the past. Mr. Adis Fejzic spoke about the importance of arts in facing the traumatic experiences, be it real or imaginary. In the sequence of arts' functions Mr. Fejzic pointed out the Remembrance and Hope in its Janus' nature since remembrance and hope can bear both traumatic and therapeutic moments. Professor Mrs. Popov Momcinovic emphasized that in reconciliation, as a process that is ongoing at the level of daily life as well as the level of various initiatives produced in BH context, a gender perspective should be considered for many reasons. Particularly due to position of women that were not included in the war and conflict events, but although engaged in various peacebuilding activities, the voices of woman were systematically marginalized and have not been heard.
The conclusion of the II Interdisciplinary Classroom „Trauma, Memory, Healing“ was that our own studies of remembrance should be developed in order to produce knowledge from the Periphery, since it has been proven that the knowledge coming from the Center is mainly non-applicable for it does not start from multiple complex characteristics of societies at the periphery.
