MEETING WITH THE MAIN REPRESENTATIVE UN GENEVA OF THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF SOCIAL WORKERS (IFSW) AND STUDENTS OF BERNER FACHHOCHSCHULE OF SWITZERLAND

TPO Foundation welcomed the main representative UN Geneva of the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) Mr. Klaus Kühne and students of second, third and fourth year of the Berner Fachhochschule on September 9, 2014. On that occasion, the representatives of TPO Foundation, Project Coordinators Mrs. Melika Sahinovic and Mrs. Monja Suta-Hibert and Project Assistant Ms. Ivana Krstanovic presented the work of the Foundation, past projects from 2013, as well as the current activities. Guests had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the project Initiative for Creative Dialogue and Education (ICDE) for which various educational materials concerning human rights are prepared, as well as the project Psychosocial Support in Bosnia and Herzegovina within which we provide support to different associations for mental health in Bosnia and Herzegovina and collaborate with the Volunteer Center of the University of Tuzla to provide help to citizens affected by floods.
IFSW thanked for the warm welcome saying that

because of the many recommendations they expressed a desire to come and meet with TPO Foundation. The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) is a global organisation striving for social justice, human rights and social development through the promotion of social work, best practice models and the facilitation of international cooperation. To their mutual satisfaction, students expressed their interest in our country and its political, economic, cultural, and religious structure, and also had an opportunity to exchange opinions with representastives of the TPO Foundation about human rights, equality, freedoms and ways to improve the society in which we live focusing on law regulations, awareness and obligations of the individual, community, and government actions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Closing the meeting, the guests praised the academic and activist actions of TPO Foundation and both sides look forward to meet again for a potential cooperation.
