The representatives of the project of the mental health in Bosnia-Herzegovina, together with dr. Norman Sartorius, have visited the association “Zajedno” on 20 December, 2014. On that occasion, it was held the event in which they performed the choir “Zajedno” with vocal associate Ivana Santrac. Songs were performed from the repertoire of the choir “Zajedno” as well as two Darko Visic’s recitals, who is also the member of the association.
Dr. Sartorius expressed satisfaction with the program prepared by the members of the association, and after the program, he talked with the representatives of the association about the activities and problems and gave suggestions and directions for the future work. Representatives of the associationpresented the activities and objectives of the Day Care Centre Zajedno.

The model by which the activities are implemented prefers social factors as essential in the development of the disease, as well as the treatment and rehabilitation of patients. This approach is a complement to the medical model of treatment and brings the best results in the treatment of mental illness.
Dr. Norman Sartorius is a Swiss expert with extensive experience and knowledge in the field of protection of rights of persons with mental disorders, combat of stigma and discrimination against people with mental disorders, as well as increasing the quality of services in mental health. This visit of Dr. Sartorius has a great significance and contributes to the future quality work of the association “Zajedno”.
