TPO Foundation and the University of Tuzla contribute, through education and preparation of educational materials within the project “Psychosocial Support in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, in solving the problems to which the population affected by floods in BiH is exposed. One of the segments of the project is the issuance and presentation of the handbook “Living on the Landslide”, which tackles the issue of implementation of preventive measures, which are caused by flood in May 2014, and landslide stabilization. The authors of the manual are Ph. D. Rejhana Dervisevic and Ph. D. Zijad Ferhatbegovic.

TPO Foundation organized the presentation of the handbook for the citizens and representatives of local communities of the Municipality of Gradacac in Gradacac on March 17, 2015. The citizens, by participating actively in a conversation with the authors of the handbook, exchanged their experiences regarding the problems of landslides and got instructions and tips on how to recognize the landslides, and temporarily repair it. The authors pointed out to the mechanisms of landslides and the causes which contribute to the initiation of earth masses, as well as measures taken to prevent and eliminate damage.
