TPO Foundation participated in STRIPITI FESTIVAL 2015
Association Another angle (original name: Drugi ugao) unveiled latest comic production available in BiH and beyond at the STRIPITI Fest. This year at STRIPITI Fest, TPO Foundation presented the comic book novel NIRA in 2014 and Bauk FemiNauk with more than 20 comics. The coordinator of the project ICDE, Melika Šahinović, among other exhibitors of traditional and innovative comics, presented activities of the foundation and two years work on the comic books as a form of expression that communicate different messages interlaced images and words that encourages learning, reflection and work and combine creativity and civic activism. The text authors Elma Softic-Kaunitz and Pavle Kaunitz presented the idea of creating a heroine Nira and two-year work on ten comic stories Nira. Bauk FemiNauk is presented through two editions of
2014 and 2015, which, through humorous comic situations, cause people to question prejudices about feminism, gender equality and position of women in contemporary BH society.
TPO Foundation presented the future plans to the public, which primarily refers to the second issue of the comic book novel NIRA, a book on stories of heroine Nira, continuation of work on the second edition of the comic Bauk FemiNauk and publication of columns on stereotypes in gender equality.
This year at STRIPITI Fest, TPO Foundation collected donations for additional printing of comic novel book NIRA in order to deliver the comics to the secondary schools across the country. Exhibition of comics continues at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will last until July 25.
