THE SECOND TRAINING “MY BUSINESS IDEA, MY CHANCE” IN ORASJE
PO Foundation Sarajevo held the second two-day training for women future entrepreneurs in Northern BiH on October 24 and 25, 2015. The training is part of the project “The Economic Stability of Women As a Contribution to Peace Building in the Community”. Second group of women from Domaljevac-Samac and Donji Zabari participated to this training and received education for designing
their business plans. Municipality Orasje representatives Mr. Pero Baotic came to support the education and to explain that within the existing local Gender Action Plan in Orasje women can get benefits in terms taxes payments and that women can initiate other proposals for the municipality support for their businesses.
The training was opened by Zilka Spahic-Siljak, a program director of TPO Foundation and the trainer, Aida Zubcevic, a director of “Faveda” Bosnia and Herzegovina and president of the entrepreneurs in BiH, “One”. TPO local coordinators of the project for this area, Mandica Zivkovic introduced the project to women and Eldina Kukuljević briefly spoke about the Orasje municipal council activities and possibilities for women’s initiatives. Women received the Manual My business idea my chance published by TPU Foundation that can help to better
navigate their design with the key elements of their business plans they learned about during the training. TPO Foundation will, in cooperation with entrepreneurs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, provide mentoring during the preparation and implementation of business plans, which is very important support in the first steps of business development. Women from this and the previous group are expected to participate in peacebuilding activities in their local communities and promote UNSCR 1325 on women, peace and security.
