TPO Foundation has organized and implemented a workshop “Nirini izazovi“, within the project “Initiative for Creative Dialogue and Education” (ICDE). The workshop has been implemented in the elementary school Abdulvehab Ilhamija“, in Željezno polje, on October 12, 2015. Students who participated in the workshop were members of the

art club. The lecturer, Elvira Baručija, used creative and interactive methods in order to encourage students to think about socially engaged art, activism and civil rights. In this workshop, students were also encouraged to recognize the importance of critical thinking, creation of their own opinions and knowing their own rights and responsibilities.

We also presented the comic book “Nirini izazovi” and students had a chance to find out more about a heroine Nira, her activism and her fight for human rights. Students were invited to place themselves in the role of Nira and use creative ideas in order to

find a different solution for situational problems, presented in the comic book. The main goal of the workshop was to encourage students to think about human rights and youth civic engagement in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
