WORKSHOP "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?" in the First Bosniak Gymnasium, Sarajevo
On the 8th December 2015 in the First Bosniak Gymnasium, Sarajevo, the “What Are You Waiting For?“ workshop was held, within the international campaign „16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence“. The workshop was led by the project coordinator and project assistant, Monja Šuta-Hibert and Jasmina Šarenkapa. The students of the above mentioned school attended the workshop and they had an opportunity to learn what violence implied, how to have zero tolerance for it and they got an insight into the links for further exploration and education. The distinction between the sex and gender was made after it and through the segments of the psycho-drama they
could put themselves violence victim's shoes and feel the trials victims of violence were faced with (shame, lack of understanding and non-acceptance of the surroundings, fear, non sufficient support, etc.). The workshop was ended appositely with students' messages beginning with: “I will stop the silence and waiting by…“
“What Are You Waiting For?“ is the motto of this year's campaign implemented traditionally by TPO Foundation within the international campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence“with the aim of raising awareness on treating gender based violence and violence in general as a relevant social problem.
