THE FOURTH SOCRATES CAFE IN ZENICA: FREEDOM
The theme of the fourth Socrates Cafe in Zenica, held on November 20, 2019, was "Freedom". The cafe was facilitated by Elmana Cerić, professor of Philosophy and Theory of cognition. Participants believe that the freedom of some is actually the bondage of others, that we are imposed on what we can think and feel and that we only like to think that we are free and that there are only illusory forms of freedom.
Therefore, some believe that money essentially governs our freedom because one cannot be everything one imagines.
On the other hand, there are those who disagree, saying that we all have absolute freedom, especially in financial terms. "Missing ideas, not missing money." They point out that it depends on us how we will use the freedoms we have been given, and they mentioned the example of young people from 17 to 20 years old, who, thanks to their ideas, made a profit of 800,000 KM in a year.
They agreed that when we talk and think about freedom, it is necessary to start from others and not from ourselves. If we see that someone is disenfranchised and we are silent stil, we are collaborators in it.
