UNIGEM: 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM - GENDER MOBILITY AND DIVERSITY IN TRANSPORT (UNIVERSITY OF NOVI SAD)


Within the 16 days of activism, three workshops were held at the University of Novi Sad (UNS), which promoted issues in the field of gender equality, as well as the fight against gender-based violence.

The first workshop was held by a guest lecturer from Denmark, on November 12, 2021. year, prof. Dr. Hilda Romer Christensen entitled: Gender Smart Mobility and Diversity in Transport.

Concepts, Methods, Practices., Which presented the link between gender and smart transport as an important issue in urban metropolises across Europe. In the application of gender and diversity (especially age, class, ethnicity, disability) to the field of transport, the lecture addresses new challenges and opportunities related to the smart transport sector and mobility planning policies in general. It explores and assesses how gender and diversity are involved in the concepts and different forms of smart mobility practices in policy, planning and innovation.

In addition, the lecture offered examples ranging from ways of shared mobility in Europe, entrepreneurship and gender-based innovation. It presents the idea of ​​gender smart mobility as an example for future transport planning and mobility practices. The key angle that intersects this paper is whether approaches to smart mobility imply more or less ability, accessibility and equality for different groups. The lecture was of a scientific type and aimed to present the work and expertise of prof. Dr. Hilde Romer Christensen.
