Center for Gender Equality of the University of Bihać at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bihać on December 9, 2022, organized the central event of the “16 Days of Activism for Gender Equality” campaign of the UNIGEM project and the round table on the topic of violence against women. Students of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bihać took part in the event, who, under the mentorship of the coordinator of the Center for Gender Equality UNBI professor Jasmina Bešlagić Ph.D. sc. held an appropriate presentation and moderated the round table.
The event was attended by representatives of the public life of the Una-Sana Canton, representatives of the Assembly and Government of the Una-Sana Canton, the Pedagogical Institute of the Una-Sana Canton, the Institute of Public Health of the Una-Sana Canton, the PI Center for Social Work Bihać, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, pedagogues, psychologists, vice-chancellors, deans, professors, and students of the University of Bihać, media representatives, as well as other interested parties.
The central event of the “16 Days of Activism for Gender Equality” campaign and the round table on the topic of violence against women gained the special interest of those present, which resulted in a debate from which very significant and useful conclusions emerged.
The activities were carried out as part of the UNIGEM (University and Gender Mainstreaming) project, which the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo implements in partnership with 19 universities from BiH and the region (Montenegro, Croatia, and Serbia), including the University of Bihać, with the financial support of the United Kingdom Government.
