As part of the “16 Days of Activism” campaign, the “Harmani I” Elementary School in Bihać, in collaboration with the TPO Foundation and within the framework of the UNIGEM project, organized a series of events from December 5 to 10 to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and International Human Rights Day.
For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, two workshops were held, involving 32 eighth-grade students. The activity was led by school counselor Josipa Dupanović.
A total of 45 students participated in three workshops marking Human Rights Day, all under the guidance of counselor Josipa Dupanović.
In addition to the educational aspect, the goal of these activities was to raise awareness among students about these important topics and encourage them to respect and protect both their own and others’ rights. A total of 77 students were educated about the Day of Persons with Disabilities and Human Rights Day.
All materials created during the workshops were displayed in the school hall, making them visible to other students, staff, and parents. During the activities, students reflected on former schoolmates who have physical disabilities but are now very successful young individuals and active members of the community.
