The Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the TPO Foundation from Sarajevo, as part of the UNIGEM project, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, held one-day training in the premises of the Center for Training and Accommodation of the Special Police Unit in Zenica.
The topic was ‘Investigation as a procedural, criminal-technical, tactical and methodical action, (with reference to cases of gender-based violence)’, and the lecturer was academician Prof. Dr Nedžad Korajlić, from the Faculty of Criminology, Criminology and Security Studies in Sarajevo.
The training was attended by 48 criminal investigators and criminal technicians from police stations and the Criminal Police Department of the Police Administration, as well as inspectors and criminal technicians from the Criminal Police Department.
The goal of this training was to improve the knowledge and professional development of police officers who work in criminal affairs in the performance of investigative actions, that is, securing the scene, collecting and securing clues that can be used as evidence in criminal proceedings.
During the training, the police officers showed maximum engagement, seriousness and responsibility, and all the areas provided for training by Prof. Dr Nedžad Korajlić were presented and explained in detail, and all questions and concerns were adequately answered.
