The workshops were designed to provoke assumptions about the concepts of gender and gender identities because most teachers claim to know what these terms represent, yet most are not familiar with the key theoretical frameworks and research on these topics. Gender theories, concepts of masculinity and femininity, and toxic masculinity were presented based on the study “The Man’s Box,” which offers a research framework for this topic that is rarely explored in the Balkans.

In the second part of the workshop, participants conducted testing on masculinity and femininity in groups, thereby gaining a better understanding of possible research directions in this field.
